Skin Impact Pressure
Maintaining skin impact pressure is a key requirement for shower comfort. NordicShower releases in soft pulses where each release is a cascade of thick strong droplets, which are propelled with impact from the turbine chamber, after the internal pressure exceeds surface tension of water. This hold - propel process is repeated many many times per second.
Unlike regular low flows there is no pressure loss caused by the throttle will reduce both water velocity and kinetic energy. The water impact on the skin will thus be greatly reduced, again contributing to the loss of comfort. Other efficient showerheads use reduced spray nozzle diameters to " enhance " the feel of the spray but the spray will tend to be sharp and needle like to give the impression of force.
Operating Pressures
Nordic Showers have lower operating pressures than the majority of low flow technogies.
The inner chamber requires a pressure of 0,5 bar to operate to its optimum. A gravity fed system will most likely not have sufficient pressure. All other systems will have ample pressure. The maximum recommended pressure for Nordic Showers is 5 bar - well in excess of even a very highly pressurized plumbing system.
The Nordic Shower use Neo Perl technogy to ensure that the output remains constant throughout the operating range.
